I am in full-on Christmas mode this week! We have decked the halls, trimmed the tree, built the Christmas Village, and tonight we will creating Gingerbread Masterpieces. That sounds like a lot, but it’s been rather low-key and enjoyable, with the family all working and playing together. Normally this much hustle and bustle wears me out but this year it is reviving me. Something else that revives me is our weekly Encouraging Hearts & Home blog hop! Last week we had a 3-way tie for most clicks. You all must have had a sweet tooth because two of the favorites were yummy recipes – English Toffee Cookies. and Chewy Choco Chips + Nuts Cookie Bars. One of my posts was the third – Family Traditions when You are A Non-Traditional Family. This is a special post to me, one with a special message, written by a friend. To round out my featured posts I’m choosing Kaleidoscope Star Quilted Christmas Ornament Pattern. I surprise my children with a new ornament each year and I have not found one yet this year. I just might use this pattern!

Thank you so much for hosting! Sounds like your house is in full-Christmas mode! We put up our Nativity last night. The tree went up earlier this week. Feels like Christmas now that those two things are up in our home.

That’s a fun tradition to surprise the kids with a new ornament each year. Thanks for hosting! Have a great weekend!

So glad you stopped by this week, Marielle! It is fun 🙂 All those ornaments really fill the tree, and then when they leave home I send their collection with them to get them started on their own Christmas trees and traditions.

This is what I featured the week of 11-30 to 12-4-2020 on my blog. On Tuesday was Christmas Spirit Sugar Cookies. Wednesday saw Christmas Almond Balls. Thursday was Cherpumple Cake. And winding up Christmas specials was Turkey Ham and Cheese Strata. Enjoy!

Gingerbread houses sound fun! I’d like to get into making those.

they are fun, Alexandra! You really should give it a try. We take a shortcut and use graham crackers rather than baking the gingerbread 😉
