Our teen daughter bought her first car today. Yikes! How could this day have arrived so quickly? She’s gone from a wee babe to an independent woman in the blink of an eye. E appreciate the reminders I receive here at our blog hop each week to savor the moments and make the most of my days. Last week’s most viewed posts were Sentence a Day – December 2019 from My Slices of Life and Little Cottage Link Party from My Little Cottage.

My featured posts this week are:
- The Beverages Bring Me Back because the smell, the feel, the taste of a favorite beverage absolutely will take me back to a special memory!
- Living with The Seasons: Royal Albert January cup and saucer because the seasons come and the seasons go, so we might as well make the most of them.
- Cheese Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms because a simple dish can also be a special dish when served on an ordinary day.

Congratulations to your daughter on her first car! And to you for gaining another step in independence yourself. 🙂 I remember the feeling well. Exhilarating but scary too.
Definitely exciting and frightening all at the same time. This is our #5, so I know we’ll all survive, but still tough on me!
I picked the beverages bring me back as one of my favorites too! I bet your daughter is quite excited to have a new car. My son doesn’t even have his license yet and is already talking about what he wants to drive.
these kids, getting the cart before the horse (or the car before the license!)
For us, this is #5, so we’ve been there and bought the t-shirt more than once, and it’s still a bit tough on mama’s nerves. But exciting too. I do enjoy seeing them grow into their independence and I love having someone who’s willing to run errands for me!
Thank you for hosting another week of fun!
You are very welcome, Pat 🙂 it is fun, isn’t it!
Thank you for hosting! This is what I featured the week of 1- 6 to 1-10 on my blog. On Tuesday morning was a low calorie Slow Cooker Black Bean Sweet Potato Chili. Wednesday was my very own Game Day favorite 3 Bean Firehouse Chili. And wrapping was a Chili Dog Pizza. Enjoy!
we love game day food 😀 thanks for sharing your recipes with us!
