Have you tried your hand at creating a photo book yet? Or do you scrapbook your photo memories? With all our picture taking now gone digital, our images are being stored in the computer rather than those paper envelopes I have lined up in shoe boxes. Companies like Shutterfly are providing a fabulous service, allowing us to easily upload our photos and print them into beautiful photo books.
I had grand visions and good intentions once upon a time. I would create scrapbooks for each of my children. Not just photo albums, but masterpieces. That was back when our fourth child was but a youngster (he’s now 20 years old) and four babies ago (yes, 4 + 4 = 8). While I did create several scrapbooks, I never did finish them all, and now it would cost me a fortune just to print out all the photos I have stored up on my hard drive.
Several years ago I was introduced to Shutterfly and I have been hooked ever since. I love that I can store my photos in my own account, which also serves as my back up! We have created family year books and baby books and even our very own Coffee Table Books which highlight our favorite vacations and our daughter’s photography.
If you have not yet tried the services Shutterfly has to offer, now is the time! Today through Thursday (11/14/13) you can get 50% OFF!!! They also have a great photo printing service where you can order the prints you want and then pick them up at a store near you or have them shipped directly to your home.
*Offer only valid for new customers who have not purchased a photo book. Limit one use per household. Discount is for a total of 50% with site wide discounts. Does not apply to Premium photo books, layflat pages, and Storytelling™ styles and elements.

I used to use shutterfly and then I found that family was using http://www.walmart.com to share pictures and easily print their own so I popped over there. We have made a few books there but I have found that the children prefer either the plian pictures in an album, which we have *smile* or my hand scrappbed pages. So, I make the photobooks at walmart.com sometimes, but tend to not make many because I know they prefer the other two ways more. *smile* As for shutterfly, we have gotten some cute picture cards there in the past but found that Walmart has some cute ones too, so really it’s about the same for me. *smile* Thanks for sharing the coupon with everyone though. *smile* Have a great day. Sinerely, Mommy of two growing blessings & so much more!

There are many options out there. I am thankful that we have choices! The picture cards sound cute. We have done the same a time or two. Our daughter also had coffee mugs made up through Shutterfly, with our grandchildren’s photos on them. A real blessing, since they lived overseas at the time. As always, thank you for stopping in! Have a blessed day!

I’ve never used Shutterfly although I’ve visited it in emails from neices and children when they upload an album. I love this idea and thank you for the tip. I’ve been trying to think of something to send my son who is deployed in Kuwait and doesn’t have room or ability to use much – I think a book from home would be cherished. Thank you so much for the idea and 50% off heads up.

Hi Barbara! I have been very pleased with my experiences with Shutterfly. Our daughter and her family were overseas for several years and it was so nice to upload photos and share them instantly across the ocean. And she would upload and have products made for us that were shipped directly to us. So nice! I hope you get the chance to try them out. I am sure a book from home would be the perfect thing for your son, just in time for Christmas!
