I was reminded last night during my monthly Ladies’ Bible Study that every morning God gives us a new day. A day with no mistakes in it yet. And I belong to a God who’s covered my sins with the blood of His Son, forgiving me of my past transgressions. Which means He does not remember my past sin – they are wiped clean.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is thy faithfulness.
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”
Because of our study last night, I was able to let the spilled milk at lunch today go by with hardly the blink of an eye. A quick wipe up took care of the mishap, a loving squeeze let the transgressor know they were still loved.
Grace. Forgiveness. This is how I want to be living, in real life.
Thanks for the visit. You’ll find all my I.R.L. visits by clicking on the coffee cup. See you tomorrow!
