Have you been enjoying a little r and r these last days of summer? Or have you been running crazy and feeling exhausted and now wondering where the summer has gone? I am making an effort each day to savor the moment and make memories and soak up the good in the day the Lord has made. That means there are projects that will have to be put on the back burner and plans that will have to be set aside, dinners to linger over and conversations to carry on. I am making it my goal these last summer days to splash a little, play a little, laugh plenty and enjoy my family and those who are special and important in my life. This will set the stage for good attitudes and positive focus as we end our summer and begin our new school year.
“May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.”
Psalm 90:14
How are you spending these last days of summer?
This post is the last in my Summer Family Fun Series and linked up to our Summer Family Fun Linky Party. Also sharing this post at some of these wonderful places.

It’s funny to hear all the Americans talking about school starting soon. In Canada our school year doesn’t end officially until the end of June so we’re only about half way through our summer holidays. We’ve been really trying to just have a fun summer lots of visits to the park, library, picnics, reading at home, playing outside, etc.
Sounds like a wonderful summer, Jennifer 🙂 the local schools around here begin by Aug. 14! Our family begins a new school year around Aug 1 so we can have a full year in by the time May rolls around and so our summer begins earlier than most. I hope the second half of your summer is as enjoyable as the first!
