Dear Mom, who also is my daughter,
I have for so long been a fan of yours. I have celebrated your accomplishments, cheered you on through difficulties, prayed over you through illness. I now watch as you embrace this role of motherhood and it takes my breath away.
I remember so clearly the days when your bright eyes and impish grin could charm the socks right off me. Wasn’t it only yesterday you were tossing that pretty little head of yours while standing with hand on hip, determined to do things your way?
Now I hear you reassuring your own little one with words and gestures I once used with you. I see your eyes light up as you celebrate a milestone with your own sweet babe, just as mine did once upon a time.
Motherhood is amazing, and so are you. Motherhood is full of joy, and you bring joy to many. Motherhood is downright tough, but so are you. Motherhood is worth it, and so are you.
To survive this amazing, joyful, tough journey of Motherhood and to be successful at it, look not to yourself, you’ll come up short. I always have when I looked to me for the answer. Look to the Lord. He’ll sustain you, strengthen you, grow and mature you. HE is sufficient for all your needs and the needs of your children.
I love you with the Love of the Lord, with the Love of a Mother. Your children will rise and call you Blessed.

This is so sweet! I know my own parents have commented on the joys of watching their children become parents, and while my girls are many years from that season, I can already imagine the delight of it. Thank you for sharing your heart and words! #EncouragingHeartsandHome

What a beautiful letter. Last week we had a social distance picnic out of doors and it was so heartwarming for me to watch her and her two littles. It brought me to tears. Of course, I havenβt been outside or around much company in almost 7 weeks now so Iβm a little over emotional.
Linda says
It breaks my heart to see families not have physical contact. Praying all this eases up soon!
We already live a long distance away from our grown children and grandchildren, so I know that ache of just wanting to reach out and hug them!
