In recent weeks we have been using the Help Teaching Pro subscription from HelpTeaching.com to supplement our homeschool classes and projects for our children’s co-op presentations. It’s been helpful to have this resource that offers a wide variety of tools such as worksheet generator, quiz maker, printable puzzles and more for every age and every level in every subject discipline.
Every student can use extra help now and then to master a skill or a subject in their education. This online subscription service gives you the ability to customize worksheets, quizzes and study helps to supplement and enhance your child’s lessons.
Online lessons are available on the website for grades PreK-12. You can assign a student to a certain like I did for my son who’ll be entering high school. For the Top 100 SAT Words lesson he viewed a video showing a vocabulary word on each screen, followed by a definition, then a sentence using the word and finally an image or photo illustrating the word. Then there was an option to either printout a follow-up quiz (or test) or to take it online. I really like this option – my children often feel more pressure when a test is given online and prefer pencil and paper.
I was very happy to be able to create my own worksheets and research projects as my children prepared for this year’s Geography Fair with our homeschool co-op. Our family prepared a display and presentation on the state of Missouri. To be sure they had plenty of information on the state of their choice, I used the Worksheet Generator available (you’ll see a tab at the top of the website.)

I searched for multiple choice questions on file and selected the ones appropriate for our subject matter. Then I printed out a copy for each of my children and assigned them to find the answers. This could have been a test of knowledge they should already have or could be an ‘open book test’ where they seek and find the correct answers. A bonus for me is the fact that the Worksheet Generator also creates an answer key – YES! love that!

The worksheet I created is now saved in ‘My Content’ so I can access and reuse in the future or with additional students. I am finding wonderful lessons on literature and life skills that I’m assigning to my children. The math drill sheets are really great, too! It’s nice to have a clearing house for all the subject areas we are studying. My children are in grades 6, 8, 10 and 11 but they vary a bit subject by subject, so having a one-stop shop for all my supplement needs makes my job as homeshool mom/teacher so much easier.
You can create an account on HelpTeaching.com for no charge and get access to the test and worksheet generator. Or you can purchase a year’s subscription for only $39 which gives you access online lessons and test taking for your entire family – that’s a bargain!
