Overwhelmed: Hope and Help for the Financially Weary.

Earlier this month I read this eBook. It’s wonderful! It is not a typical step-by-step “How to Get Out of Debt Quick” kind of book. Rather, it shares the personal testimonies, victories, and financial struggles of nine women and their families and offers practical ideas on how to cope and overcome. Every one of them shares how God worked through their tough situations and how they are stronger on the other side. Their stories are full of struggle, faith and victory – not always in the ways you would imagine.
In this ebook you’ll find 5 different sections: Testimonies –ย 9 differentย contributors share their stories of financial hardship, sharing what they learned and how they grew through it; Financial Resources, including tithing and taxย tips, consumer credit counseling and child support, and much more; Women in Business in the spirit of the Proverbs 31 Woman; Home Business Guide and Resources with tons of ideas on how to balance family and home life with business venture to bring in income; Frugal Homemaking with tips that are help to every one of us these days.

There is something for everyone in this book. The section on balancing home business and family was especially encouraging to me and Charissa Ragsdale’s chapter “Simple, Not Easy” in which she addresses her lust for creativity was exactly the challenge I needed to hear.
There is a Study Guide available for those who would like to study this out a bit more in depth, as well as a Small Group Leader’s Guide. This book study would make a wonderful small group study not just for those who are struggling financially, but also for those who desire to strengthen their marriage, or looking to strengthen their faith. You can purchase Overwhelmed for only $4.99.

It’s good to hear that you enjoyed this book. I am not entering to win the book as I am pretty sure we wouldn’t read it. The idea of having every finantial and leanliness thing figured out as this book and the previous one have shown, is lovely. I have times when I am very attentive to needs as opposed to wants and getting rid of stacks here or there so our home looks more like a show home. Over all, I guess, we keep plugging along one step at a time in our finances as well as in our cleanliness of our home. *smile* Dusting has never been a task I stay on top of . *small smile* Alright, that is long enough and scattered enough…*smile* Have a great day and thanks for making the time to share this book. Sincerely, Mommy of two growing blessings & so much more!
Thank you for commenting ๐ plugging along and taking care of the next thing is a good way to tackle those lean times.
This book sounds like it is right up my alley! We are in the midst of climbing out of financial issues and it is rough! But the Lord had been seeing us through, one day a time.
It’s a real encouragement Amanda. So many are in the spot you are in right now, and God remains faithful. That’s the message of this book!
I’m sorry I have no comment because I am financially challenged so this book I hope would help us

You are right, Susana. We could all use some scriptural wisdom ๐ thank you for taking time to comment!
This book sounds like something that would help me hugely. I can ALWAYS use some help in the form of financial advice – finances are something I seem to be sooo not good at, sadly……
I found this book to be inspiring and helpful ๐ Blessings to you as you keep working at building good habits in the area of finances!
One day at a time!
Great advice Holly, for anytime we are feeling overwhelmed.
We are feeling overwhelmed often lately, but we know these things are best conquered one little step at a time.
One little step at a time is a great way to tackle those overwhelming times. Your attitude is always positive, which blesses your family and everyone around you ๐ I think this book would offer a lot of encouragement to you. I’m glad you commented.
This book looks wonderful! My advice would be to trust the Lord and not stress about finances. If we are good stewards with them He will honour it ๐
Great advice, Renata. Thank you!
You can get through it!
Claire, sometimes, that is just what we need to hear. Thank you ๐
We have really enjoyed Dave Ramseys total money makeover program!
Hello Kayla ๐ Dave Ramsey’s program is wonderful! We highly recommend it. Our daughter and her husband went through his Financial Peace University just before they got married. A great way for them to start out. Thanks for sharing your recommendation with us. Have a blessed week!
there are many ways to cut costs, sometimes it’s best to start small so you don’t over whelm yourself
Starting small is good advice Misty. Especially if we are already overwhelmed by our situation. Thank you for your comment ๐
