As I’m discussing my In Real Life experiences and observations this month, I have also had the opportunity to share a glimpse of my real life junk drawer over at A Slob Comes Clean this week. I am a natural ‘messy’ and I still have a lot to learn when it comes to homemaking, but one little area I’ve had big success is the junk drawer in our kitchen.
Everyone has a junk drawer, right? And junk equals mess, right? That’s what I had always thought, that’s the way I had always treated it. One day I was sooooo tired of not being able to find a battery or cord or whatever. Daily it was an all-out battle just to get it closed. Do you have any idea how frustrating it is when you can’t even slam that drawer shut because it was full to overflowing!?!
Almost four years ago I tackled that junk drawer and won the battle – and the best part – nearly FOUR YEARS LATER this space is STILL neat and organized!!! Would you like to know how I did it? How we maintained that drawer space and keep it neat and orderly? Stop over to read the rest of the story at A Slob Comes Clean.
Now that I’ve had victory over that junk drawer, maybe it’s time for me to take on that mess in the vehicle. Anyone have easy, sure-fire cures for a messy SUV?
Thanks for the visit. You’ll find all my I.R.L. visits by clicking on the coffee cup.

Sometimes I think the Universe leads you where you need to go! I hadn’t stopped by in a very long time and this post was just what Grampy and I both needed to read — both this and the other post. Thanks!
I’m so glad you stopped by for an impromptu visit and found something that encouraged you, Grandma Kc 🙂 It’s so nice to see you again! Hope you are finding time to enjoy each day, whether they are full of messes or nice and orderly.
