Snowmen, christmas lights, Do You Hear What I Hear, gift wrapping and secret gift making — these are the things that are filling our days. Oh, yeah, school lessons sprinkled in here and there. I love December! Our Hearts for Home Blog Hop makes it even sweeter.
Before we get to today’s blog hop, let me tell you — last week’s most viewed post was an interesting article about Truancy from The Redhead Mom.
I was excited to see all sorts of ideas in this Christmas Round Up from Lit Mama Homeschool.
This Appetizer Buffet from Nap Time Creations gave me some new, delicious ideas for our Christmas Day Spread. A few years back we started the tradition of setting out our favorite appetizer foods instead of a big meal.
I want to use this tutorial from Garden Matter to preserve a special holiday bread recipe my own mother gave me shortly before she passed away. I use it every year at Eastertime. I’d like to make one for each of my children with the bread all wrapped up inside.
I found some Sweet Treats from Homeschool Coffee Break to add to our holiday baking. Our children have quite a lot of German blood pulsing through their veins so they’ll enjoy the history lesson as well as the treats!
This post from Day to Day Adventures shares ideas for sending care packages to college students. It may not be a Christmas, but it is still timely, and touched a special place in my heart, as we are far away from our four oldest children this Christmas.
Now, for this week’s Hearts for Home Blog Hop!
As women, mothers, wives, our hearts are focused on our homes and our families, in this season and every season. We all can use inspiration and encouragement from time to time. That’s what our Hearts for Home Blog Hop is all about! Every week dozens (hundreds) of posts are shared on topics like homemaking, marriage and homeschooling. You’ll find ideas for crafts, DIY projects and organizing. You’ll find recipes, parenting tips and some sharing of faith and more! Everyone will find something that encourages, inspires, motivates.
