July is speeding by and one last Thursday for this month has arrived. That means one last Hearts for Home Blog Hop for this month! That also means a month from now most of us will be starting a new school year or gearing up to begin. Are you ready? I still have some work to do to get our things in order, but I’m excited for a brand new start.
Last week’s most viewed post was from Feels Like Home and is all about using the Library! I loved this post because right now, while living in hotel we are utilizing the library extensively for schooling, entertainment, distraction, etc. The public library is often the hub of a community and a terrific place to begin getting familiar with our new home.
As women, mothers, wives, our hearts are focused on our homes and our families, in this season and every season. We all can use inspiration and encouragement from time to time. The problem with homeschooling is that the students finish high school and then the mom finds herself out of a job! My kids graduated high school in 2008 and 2010, so my homeschool days have been over for 6 years now. (Really?) I miss those days very much. They were wonderful, and even though I’ve struggled to figure out what purposeful thing to do with my life now, I am so thankful I chose to homeschool.

I’m so glad you joined our party this week, Patti! Graduating our children out of our homeschool is definitely bitter-sweet. We are half way there, having graduated 4 and 4 still at home. “Empty Nest” takes on a whole new meaning to us homeschooling moms. I’ll pray for you to find your direction and calling – you still have so much to offer your family and those around you!
